The 2008 ride was in memory of George's brother-in-law Donald Martin (pictured below with his brother Gary) who lost his battle with ALS, and another brother-in-law, Roland Thibault who lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Boston, April 18, 2003 - Gary Annis and Paula Prive join 398 other cancer survivors on-field as the Boston Red Sox honor these courageous and valiant survivors as representatives of our community who give of themselves on a daily basis with the hopes of one day finding a cure for cancer.
